RESEARCH PROJECTS
Our Current Focus
AGEING AND CHRONIC NEUROINFLAMMATION
Our lab is focused on describing and understanding how long-lasting, chronic activation of glial cells contributes to neurodegeneration during the aging process and disease states.
BRAIN-GUT-LIVER AXIS
We are also interested in venturing out and collaborating with clinicians, to investigate further the connection between the brain and gut health! Stay tuned for exciting new projects!
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY COMPOUNDS
Since we are part of the group of Pharmacology within the School of Medicine, we are able to test newly found and identified plant compounds against neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration.
